Neilah/Break the Fast

Neilah Closing Service: Wednesday, October 9 at 6 pm (at Seabold Hall), followed by our traditional Break-the-Fast potluck.

SUKKOT

Sukkot October 20, 2 PM will be celebrated at the home of Mike Orr and Robin Hruska. Come celebrate the harvest season and give thanks. If you have any willow, myrtle (crape myrtle is popular in these parts) or palm, please let Robin H know so we can make lulav to shake. Bring a snack (harvest themed?) to share. Havdalah & Movie Night “Orchestra of Exiles”

Please join us for Havdalah and Movie night at the home of Carol Shakow and Mel Leiman on Saturday, November 16th at 5:30. There will be a Havdalah followed by a potluck and movie. The movie is slated to be Orchestra of Exiles,  the suspenseful chronicle of how one man helped save Europe's premier Jewish musicians from obliteration by the Nazis during World II. Call 206-567-9414 for event details.

Bagels, Coffee & Conversation

Sunday, December 8, 10:30 am   Bagels, coffee and interesting conversation at Jane and Bob Greenberg’s community room at Ericksen Cottages. Reflections about their trip to Portugal and what  they learned about Jews in Portugal before and after the Inquisition and synagogues from 15 th century and today. Not necessary to reply but helpful so I make enough coffee and tea. 206-780-9942  

Chanukah Party

Movie & Chinese Food

Following a great Jewish Tradition we are hosting a Movie and Chinese Food night on Christmas, December 25th (obviously) at 5 PM. I am requesting that folks RSVP so we know who is coming and we can get a wishlist of what to order.  We can just split the bill in equal shares. Joy Luck in Kingston is fortunately open that night. None of the Chinese restaurants Poulsbo restaurants were open on Christmas. We can have a movie choice picked...
