RECIPE FILE

Now this sounds like a fun summer recipe!

MEMBERSHIP

It’s that time of year again. The new fiscal year began on June 1 and we would like everyone to take the time to download the membership form here and send it in.

At this time, when many families are under extra financial pressure, and when other needs within our communities are calling for our support, your Coordinating Committee wishes to remind you that Shir Hayam dues are always voluntary and confidential. No stigma attaches to any household making the decision to contribute less than the suggested dues amount in any given year.

Voluntary dues paid by members are important: they enable our events; support our presence, outreach, and practice of Tikkun Olam in the greater community; and maintain our financial health as an organization. But please know that the current state of our balance sheet is strong. We support you in making the best decision for your family and your community.

You can mail your form in to Chavurat Shir Hayam, P.O. Box 11142, Bainbridge Island, WA  98110 or fill it in, scan it and email it us at our new membership email address.

COORDINATING COMMITTEE NEWS

A big thank you to outgoing member Carol Rappaport. Also, we’d like to thank former chairperson Dee Axelrod and secretary Mike Orr for all of their hard work this past year. We welcome Cay Vandervelde to the committee and we are grateful that she has accepted the chairperson role for the coming year. Dee will take on the secretary job. Thanks to all!
